Most of the guards don't even care...
The food in prison is actually nicer than food served in public education...
Don't piss anyone off, and you won't get shanked.
DON'T DROP THE SOAP and you'll be fine...
Showering with other bigger guys... so its like a football locker room?
Yea becuase you must have such a knowledge of the opporation of jails..
Exactly the guards do not care...so they can be very brutal
Yea...I bet the food is amazing!
It is not a matter of pissing soeone off...the guys in their who are sentanced to death or life in prison already just do not care! They are violent.
And if you get sent to jail for raping or murdering little kids....you pretty much get f***** up by the other inmates.
Not a football locker room......members on a football team do not make bitches out of you.
I just believe a LIFE in prison is a much better punishment than getting injected by
sterilized needles filled with drugs designed to make your death as painless as possible. Where is the justice in that?
I am not sure if you were talking to me about suicidal...but definitely not...and obviously I do not like death.

Think.
If it weren't for death, we wouldn't be alive.
Again... not you.
You really gota start sayin' who your stuff is directed to....
And the guys in the football locker room do make bitches out of you.
Re: The Death Penalty
*can be* brutal
Yah, food is better than our high schools.
It is a matter of pissing someone off, unprovoked violence is usually rare.
Raping kids... not worthy of the death penalty. Murdering, ... yah.. thats why most people don't murder little kids (besides other kids.)
and I beg to differ on the football team statement.

Wow...better than school food!
And half of the children who are raped...are murdered....and rape...should be worthy for life in prison. Most people do not murder little kids? Where are you getting your information? Children are abducted and murdered every f'n year!
Well..I do not play football...but then I guess you are proving my point then...if members of the same team can make bitches out of you...then hostile poepl in prison can do they same thing...well worse...
Re: The Death Penalty
and school food tastes pretty good usually.
omfg.. people DIE!! every day! Big surprise. Children are abducted every year... and that hasn't increased since the 50s, congratulations you're falling into another media bullshit lie!
and like I said before... Don't piss them off, and drop drop the soap and you'll be fine.
death penalties and life sentences are different. You're trying to make them the same.

Re: The Death Penalty
No need to get hostile. I am not falling into a media lie....those are the facts. I was simply stating that people do murder children....(not just other children murder eachother)fuzzy wrote:and school food tastes pretty good usually.

Well that is cool, you can be an advocate of the death penalty...but as far as I am concerned being locked in prison for the remainder of your life is not a luxury.

Re: The Death Penalty
How many criminals do you know of that are truely remorseful of their shit? How many want to die?
How many will hatch an escape plan, kill a couple guards, maybe civilians if they get out?
Not only is the waiting and death a punishment, it is also a solution. It is dangerous keeping people that should of had the death penalty locked up, when it could be over and they're in a hole.

Re: The Death Penalty
I doubt they are remorseful...And sure they do not want to die....but to be faced with death allows them an escape from reality...they get to sleep...forever in solitude without having to sit there and suffer being behind bars. Their lives should be made hell...so they wish they were dead.
Yea because soooooooo many escape...sure there are some who actual do manage to escape...but it is not an occurance that happens all of the time.
I get your point about the fact that they could still pose a threat....but just to let them die is not a punishment, even if they do not want to die....in my opinion.....it is not justice to the victim....and it is not fair to their family...even if they are murders, they still have family who love them.
With the death penalty.....the family members of the murderer are punished...where as the criminal dies in a painless manner...instead of rotting behind bars.

Re: The Death Penalty
They're sorry they got caught. I think criminals deserve terrible punishments. they ought to be tortured like their victims and then killed so no one has to deal with them.

As much as that seems like justice, we cannot have a system as such. The constitution was put in place to protect people (no matter how wicked) from the government doing this. Or one day we might have the government saying you "broke this law" and torturing you... torture is evil, no matter what the cause is for.
I would have thought history has taught us this!
Re: The Death Penalty
I was thinking the patriot act.. but I guess 9/11 gave congress the false reason to pass it.

One thing would lead to another, and soon thieves would have hands removed and other such horrors. We're modern and sophisticated; torture and violence is sick, and tit-for-tat won't work here.
If a third party were to do something like that...hmm...
I'm thinking Condemned: Criminal Orgins with Serial Killer X...A serial killer who hunts serial killers and kills them in the same method they kill their victims. It's really pretty cool.

Isn't that like, a slight similarity to the Saw movies?

HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! Wow......If only that were true. Our DNA hasn't changed in over 300 years. What makes you think we're more sophisticated now than we were then?
Re: The Death Penalty
well see, criminals would be mutilated and then killed. but oh well. as much as it'll never happen, I guess I'm the only one that likes the idea of a barbaric justice system.
