First topic message reminder :

After joining Peta2 to help stop events such as the Alaskan Seal Hunt and Dog Fighting (and trying to win free stuff, lolz), I have been in some very heated discussion because I'm not a vegan or vegetarian. These guys are brutal when it comes to defending their lifestyles and policies. I highly dislike being force-fed what they claim is right, and I've backed up my side with biological proof and evidence (the particular post in which I invested the most time can be found HERE And I'm the user Spishnittlestick. What do you guys think? Do we have any Vegans/Vegetarians here? Or any views towards eating meat products?

2. Humans don't depend on others for their food, they can grow and hunt their own.
3. Humans are obviously smarter, as I don't see chickens creating civilizations.
4. Humans have thumbs.
5. I've never heard chickens make music.
6. Chickens can't post on The Gathering.

I'm not trying to bash any views, simply express my own.

Lets see which ones I'll chose to prove wrong....

1. Harm comes from typing. And I said "Goodness," not ability.
2. Ahem....children?
3. I repeat...Goodness... Not intelligence.
4. How does that make us...(pardon this) gooder than them?
5. I repeat 4 and add this: All noise is music.
6. People get hurt on the internet... BY OTHER PEOPLE. I doubt people get their feeling hurt on the internet BY CHICKENS.

Listen, I'm not trying to bash your views, I'm not trying to change you. In my opinion humans are above animals, and that is some of my reasoning. I like my meat, So why don't you just keep your opinion, and I will keep mine. You can go hug a chicken or something, and this winter I will go hunt a deer.

I don't have a huge problem with eating meat, I'm just not very fond of it...

When I eat a ton of meat I feel sick. I eat tuna, fish, a bit of hamburger once in a while, some chicken. but that's it. I'd rather eat a peanut butter sandwich for some protein.

I gave you six ways that I personally see humans above chickens, if you don't agree with them, so be it. I wouldn't know what chickens like, since I've never talked to one.

that's your definition, which is fine. goodness can also mean abilities/skills. Haven't you ever heard somebody say He's "good" at playing guitar?

You've summed it up for me, lol. I don't eat much meat by choice. Fast food is gross. Overall, I prefer Peanut Butter sandwiches or Cheese Pizza or something like that. I've thought about trying vegetarianism, and I would like to, but my Subway Melt was sooooo good today, haha.

I've really been cutting down my meat consumption. I try to get out of eating burgers, I blatantly refuse to consume a hot dog, fast food is really getting there, lol. If I can get a meat-free alternative I almost always take it.

Like I said, I want to try vegetarianism sometime, but my parents are wayyy too brutal. They wouldn't like that.

I'm getting closer and closer to vegetarianism. I'm cutting back on my meat consumption by a LOT. I've been taking some steps here and there. I've almost completely given up fast food, although my parents can be pushy about things, lol. I'll have to look into salads at mcdonalds I guess, though I really don't like salad, lol. Even at Subway, instead of getting my normal subway melt, I go with cheese pizza Smile

I'm trying the best I can here, haha. I betcha that when I'm out on my own I could pull off being a vegetarian without much of a problem. We'll see Smile

I don't try to be anything really... I just pick and choose what I like and don't like and have no idea how to categorize it...

however, I've had to cut back on my ice cream intake by a huge amount in the last couple years. I think I may be a bit lactose intolerant. I switched to soy milk a while back and it made a big difference.

Believe it or not, I actually have soy milk in my fridge right now.

Hahaha. I've been eating cereal with it. Actually, yum Smile

But nothing can really compare to hemp milk ice cream xD

I'm going to get some hemp milk when my soy milk runs dry.

I'm also thinking about going vegan Smile So far, so good!
