Which movie was the most ground breaking?
Re: Which Movie?
Out of that list, I'll have to say Star Wars. It's definitely had the biggest effect on pop culture.
Re: Which Movie?
I've got to go with the original King Kong. It spawned a sort of scenario for movies about creating BIG things. I don't just mean King Kong himself, but the enormity of the story was phenomenal and has inspired so many modern movies.
Re: Which Movie?
I'm going to have to say star wars, it started an era of filmmaking that we still see today.
The Dark Knight did give me great direction for my story though.

Re: Which Movie?
That's a tough one. I was stuck between Star wars and King Kong. But i picked Star Wars.

Re: Which Movie?
Star Wars was very innovative in the use of CGI, I'd say.

Re: Which Movie?
I'm going with King Kong, it was the first "true" Hollywood epic. Although Citizen Kane should be in this list.

Re: Which Movie?
I wanted very badly to say "The Dark Knight," because this was earth-shattering to me.
But the truth is, I used to be a hardcore star wars junkie back in the day. I watched the original trilogy so many times, and the story was so solid. The use of computer animation was very good for the time, and the crew was very resourceful. I mean, the light sabers were disassembled flash stand thingies (I don't remember the technical term, sorry) with bits of windshield wiper around them for "grips."
I loved 4, 5, and 6.
The others ... eh. I should probably watch them sometime xD I watched the first one several times, and enjoyed it, but I never got around to watching 2 or 3.
Maybe I will now, though

Re: Which Movie?
You must watch #3. Best of the prequels.

Re: Which Movie?
The only thing bad about 3 is Emo Anakin. But it's still really good.

Yeah, the Dark Knight blew me away too, the way they were able to juggle a confluence of distinct characters throughout an unpredictable and darkened plot really blew me away, and the dark story line has shaped some elements of my story.

Re: Which Movie?
Yes, I really wanted to vote for DK because of how great it was, but Star Wars was pretty ground breaking.
