Pokemon 3D/ MMO

I want something new from Pokemon. NOW!

I imagine a game where you are able to move freely about the world in 3D and then can move through tall grass in much more of an exploratory fashion before a random encounter starts and you are pulled into a battle sequence similar to Final Fantasy. When you have to use HMs your Pokemon could just fly out of a pokeball and walk alongside you or use the ability before hopping back in before battle. Every time you would discover a new path, or waterfall, fishing spot, or cave entrance it would feel like true discovery rather than in the current layout of the game where you can see everything from the top down. Everything else would be the same except for the 3D (3D battles too but hopefully more fluid than Coliseum) and exploratory nature.

Once this happens I could see the next step as a pokemon MMO. Guilds could be replaced by user created gyms that would be open at certain times or challenges could be scheduled in advance. Maybe if you beat so many gyms of a certain ranks you could even take on an Elite Four of real users that have to defend their title. After so many losses a new player would be chosen. Trades could happen in real time, and trainer battles could be a combination of TR/clones (think mobs of current mmos) and any real trainer wandering around your area. They would send out a notification for a certain radius and then anyone in the general area could respond, meet, and battle. Rewards could be decided before hand. Everything from money, items, to even *gasp* a pokemon!!!

These are just a few ideas... What do you think?

This would be a great idea for Wii. They should do something like this that is completely interactive. Love the idea, Zach.

I think that I would actually hate this on the wii. I want to see this on a LEGITIMATE console or PC.

Well, seeing how this wouldn't be endorsed (nor would it be allowed to) by anyone other than Nintendo, that's the only reason I bring up the Wii.

PC? Could be cool. Idk. I'm not huge into PC games.

yea i see this as becoming a wii game or some random peoples created unsponsored and open base for pc
