Who else has the same issue? Girls think I'm pretty awesome at first and then when they realize I don't smoke or do drugs or really anything risky they give up.

From the way I see it, finding a girl is a number's game. You find a girl that piques your interest, talk to her and get to know her, then ask her out. If she says "no", just move on to the next girl. Its hard to become friends then ask her out, cause you can quickly get FRIENDSHIP ZONE'D, and that's no good.
Just keep meeting and asking girls, goto places that suit more of your style (say, like... an arcade or something if you're a gamer type, I don't know), and just don't quit. Perseverance pays off.
