The Official Recommendation Thread
Here we can recommend bands and musicians of all types whenever we feel the need to do so. Sometimes I just feel like telling the world about a band I'm enjoying very much at the moment, so here's my chance (along with everyone else's) to do it.
Right now I'm really digging Gorod. They're a technical death metal band who are constantly changing things up and they write some killer riffs. Their new album called 'Process of a New Decline" has been released recently and should be on the top of every tech death fanatic's "to get" list.

Re: The Official Recommendation Thread
I'm really into this unsigned group called Amplexus, which is latin for "embrace."
It's also the term for frog procreation, but I'm guess that's not what they were going for.
Anyway, I can't really confine them to a genre, but I would have to say they're around rock and metal somewhere.
Their lyrics are very powerful. My two favorite songs are "A Sleepwalking Atheist" and "Come On In."
Really, check these guys out regardless of what you like.
Steady your heart, baby, this one might hurt.

And now for a band I've been whoring out a lot lately lol. Check out Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. Every album of their's is different but their most famous song is the Mercy Seat.

I totally recommend Jamies Elsewhere. They're damn good for post hardcore.
