The Summer Thread :)
While the joyous freedom of summer is still among us, this is the thread to share your summer plans, experiences, and how it's going for you.
Re: The Summer Thread :)
Summer's nearly half over for me, now.
I've done gone and came back from Chicago. It was amazing. And cold. And we got rained out of an all-day trip to Six Flags: Great America (Yes!).
I must say, though... The 12 or so hour ride back was..erm... strange.
+1 to A Knight's Tale! (Or what ever it was.)
Anyone who cares to know more need only ask... I'm too lazy.

Re: The Summer Thread :)
I have had a very eventful summer as well. It began immediately with a trip to albany new york via train for a debate national tourney. My partner and I did pretty well, almost breaking into elimination rounds.
(I really enjoyed the train ride to albany and back, because of the wide amount of time it gave me to write, I wrote 50 pages on this trip alone!)
Two weeks later I went to another national tournament, an even longer one in Birmingham Alabama. It was an awesome trip, (I got to see a gay pride parade!) And I felt I did well in my events as well. (Plus I wrote 20 more pages on this trip)
After having a fun time hanging out with connor over the last two days. Tomorrow I'm on the move again to washington DC. (By Train once more) and I hope I'll be able to write on this trip as well.
(I'll have debate camp on the 12th-18th too.)

Re: The Summer Thread :)
Eh... so far summer's been pretty boring. Except for going to a camp as a volunteer to take care of people with disabilities. That was fun.
Later this summer, though, should be more fun. Saturday I have auditions for a play, which I'm really excited about. There's the 4th of July and my birthday coming up. Then I'm hoping to volunteer at the zoo, and work with horses at a place my sister rides. Eh... then babysitting. And then there's swimming.
So, yeah... that's pretty much my summer.

Went to Memphis earlier this summer and it was somewhat life changing. And I'm going to be an extra in a horror movie being shot up in Kingman.

Man, it's really just now hitting me that school's already starting in 4 days. Summer did seem to last pretty long this year, though.
Re: The Summer Thread :)
Just wait until you get to college. The school year flies by, but the summer takes forever.
