Spongebob Squarepants

Man, Talk about the greatest comedy show on tv from 1999-2003. Honestly, I still find almost every show from that time to be hilarious.

There was something so unique and innovative about each show. It seemed that instead of the rushed and generic feel of almost every other cartoon. There was something extra about classic spongebobs that set it higher than any other.

This is the thread to name your favorites, and to talk about the infamous spongebob crash (When the producer left after the movie.)

New spongebob is everything old spongebob wasn't, a generic and rushed cartoon.

Sir, I'm going to have to disagree with you. I'll admit that the show has gone down hill a bit, but nowhere near a 'generic and rushed cartoon'. I still enjoy the majority of the episodes that are released these days.

Overall, though. It's probably my favorite show on TV. I never grow tired of it. A few weeks ago, during the 10th anniversary, they aired the show non-stop for 3 days straight. I can honestly say the only thing I did those 3 days was watch Spongebob (well, that and sleep an hour or two).

Well, I hear the newer episodes may be starting to regain its old glory (I heard the tenth anniversary episodes were great.)

But the episodes I saw from 2007-2008 tarnished my opinion of new spongebob. Some of the episodes I couldn't even bear to watch.

I have to agree with Donald on this one. This is by far one of my most enjoyed cartoons to have ever existed, but the new episodes are quite awful. The humor doesn't have the same feel that it used to have, and I feel as though everything they do now is much too exaggerated.

Well, and, I know we may seem a little harsh on the new spongebob. But, you take something like classic spongebob, something that was arguably the "Best" comedy of that era. And you replace it with something that's "okay". It's really disappointing. It's like replacing seinfeld with friends. Sure, Friends is okay, but it has nothing on seinfeld.

I love Spongebob. My favorite episode are the ones where Patrick and Spongebob go on a cursing spree.

Well it was sadly the new ones just dont have that ZING! to them.
