The best pet you've had
Most people have had a number of pets, and there always seems to be one that stands out from the rest.
I'd say for me it's definitely my cat, Chaps, who is 13 years old this month. He's been there through thick and thin, and has always been a great companion. Once when he was about 3 or 4 years old he got a cut and I cried for hours afraid he would die. I was about 7 years old, but he has always had a place in my heart and I dread the day he dies.

Re: The best pet you've had
My dog, Sandy. She's so funny. She'll play hide and seek with me...no joke. I'll hide somewhere while she's outside and once she's let in, she won't relax until she knows where I am. She howls if you say her name really fast and high pitched over and over. And she's very loyal, very cuddly, and very adorable. I got her from my aunt when she was just a puppy, i've nursed her through parvo, i've housetrained her, i've confided in her, and i hope she'll be around a while longer...

My dog Daisy. She died 3 years ago. She was this great Basset Hound. I used to love that dog so much. One of these days I really want to get one just like her.

My cat Joey. He's fat and adorable and requires all attention to be paid to him. I bet if I followed him with a camera for a day, I could get a years worth of "lolcaptions".

Re: The best pet you've had
I've only had one legitimate pet, a beagle, who is awesome. I had a goldfish that somebody gave me at the fair, and everybody said it wouldn't live to see the weekend, it made it three months, until I bought a diseased fish and put in with it. It was an inadvertent mistake.

Best pet my family has had is our dog. She was our first pet. Got her when we moved to our current town, when she was four. Old dog now.

I miss my old border collie/german shepard Sugar. She was always so friendly, but she'd like to nip at your ass when you were playing basketball. We had to put her down though because she got hit by a car.
I have a feeling this thread is going to be fall of BAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW and sadness.

Re: The best pet you've had
Good question really. One day my goldfish was missing and my mom said "Oh, I took him to your grandma", then a week later my grandma said that she took him to LJS and that he's on display now. I kinda miss him.
