Roleplaying Pub

So, I'm an employer at this pub ran in the medieval times. Anyone who posts in this thread is in this imaginary world within this pub. You can make up your name, or anything really, and converse with other people within the pub.

*sits down at the bar, looks around the desolate place and figures everyone is at a jousting tournament*


"Hello there bartender! Might I have a bit of ale? I'm Anneliese, by the way. Nice to meet you!"

*holds out hand to shake*

Looks over Anneliese's joyous features, realizing she's a definite morning person I answer a little doggedly.
"Do you know there's a jousting tourney going on right now miss?"
I feel my brows raise when my eyes flit over her outstretched hand, impressed by her politeness, I use my dusty cloth and wipe the grime from my right hand, grasping hers, I noticed its coolness as I did so.
I'm Hadrian, though I'm called Hadley in these parts. One ale? aye, I'll get that right to you. Have you always lived in Lothian madam?

Why, yes there is one going on right now in the King's field just a bit north of the castle...I didn't feel like bothering with the crowds so I did not attend...


And no, I've just lived here..my husband is a travelling merchant you see...
*sighs*

Turns from the girl, grasping a murky glass from the end of the counter and begins to clean slowly, before addressing the girl once more.
Ah, I see, Little miss, do you see the dark man hovering outside the window, I have dealt with a myriad of merchants in my day, but I have never once seen him. Are you acquainted with him?

*cautiously looks over to get a good view of the man*


Ah, no, never seen any one of his kind around before. Perhaps he is one of the local landlords..

Looks at the man's shadowy features
"Nor have I, at least not west of tinsworth. I'm not sure what to make of him, he's been hovering around the pub for the last three days.

Alton, the town drunkard, has hiccuped himself out of his intoxicated slumber and taken interest in the new face at the tavern

Oh..Hallo...My, what time is it? Blimey, it must be half past noon! By the way, love, what's your name? Anneliese? Ho! Hadley, pass me another mug of ale, would you?

[i]Hadley takes a gulp of ale, downing half the glass with a well-practiced drink. He wipes his mouth on his sleeve. It has been discolored from previous and numerous wipings. After another quaff, he falls back into his drunken sleep, snoring loudly.[i]

*gives the bartender a skeptical look*


Maybe you should go inquire what exactly is it he desires?

Glances at Alton knowing the harmless drunk is in slumber, he strides over and grasps the empty glass, he turns to the girl once more.
"Nay, if he's taken enough interest in me to meander around for three days around me pub. He can come and address me himself."

*Porlo walks into the bar*

Aye, Hadley! Where's my coat? It's got three rats in the foremost pocket. I wouldn't want them running loose in here.

across the room there is a low grumble that escapes a strangers breath catching everyones attention.....

he stands up and holds up three dead rats.

He then begins to slowly unzip his pants.....

*Porlo turns to the man with his dead rats*

I'll stew your mead with their entrails for that one.

The Rat Man makes a face.

The Bartender warily eyes the rat man.

Wiping out the inside of a glass crusted over with a layer of dirt, the bartender turns hopelessly to a lass across the counter.

"Aye, he's rarin to whip it out again," He mutters dolefully before placing the unclean glass back upon the counter.

The rat man finally unzips his pants, and walks to over to the counter to pick up the unclean glass.

and then out of nowhere Richard Luciano the Rat Killer walked in and pointed his gun at the rat man

And then a skeleton pops out.

The Rat Killer flinches, resulting in the Rat Man kneeing the killer in the face.

The Rat Man looks up and finally says his name.... I am Naaahhh he says with a husky tone.

And he pulls out his false teeth, which he soaks in alcohol.

After placing the soaked teeth back in his mouth he looks across the bar at every person there and says. Would you all like to join my subscription of dad rat weekly? Its only 5.95 a month.

Unfortunately, only 3 people raised their hand, which pissed off the rat man.

But then naaahhh decided to try a new approach.
