Re: The Relationship Thread
Did it end badly? or just quickly.
I hate being blindsided when I think I'm in a great relationship, its happened a few times.

Re: The Relationship Thread
I ended my last relationship a few months ago. Since then I've felt no inclination to seek another, so I'm just waiting for something to come along.
Re: The Relationship Thread
Haven't been in a relationship in about year. Really not seeking another one.

Re: The Relationship Thread
Last relationship ended a couple of months ago. I'm just too lazy to pursue relationships. And I find that the ones that just come along seem to have more meaning behind them.
Re: The Relationship Thread
I'm in a happy relationship, even if it is kinda distant. Her name is Jennifer, and we've been off and on for about two years now. Problem is, I'm 18, and she's 16 and still in high school. Two years isn't a big difference, but her parents are the "OMG HONK IF YOU LOVE JESUS!" kind of people, so they don't really see me for who I am. Because of that, we hardly get to see each other anymore; hopefully things will change soon. We're deeply in love and I want to see it through.

Parents who aren't accepting of the decisions their kids make, good or bad, set a bad example. As long as you aren't a detrimental factor to her livelihood and youth because of your age it shouldn't be a problem. I could see a problem with it if she was 14, but 16 is the age when you begin to make a lot of decisions for yourself. I hope it works out for you in the future.

Thanks, man. I appreciate it. I mean, I'm deeply in love with her and I wouldn't do anything to harm her, but her parents are very strict. She's a woman now, but maybe her parents still see her as their "little baby" and don't want to let her go. I'm not sure.
Ironically, her brother is allowed to date only because he's dating their pastor's daughter.

That's not hypocritical at all!

Hah, what's even funnier is that even though she's the pastor's daughter, she's one of the biggest whores ever.
How come a lot of the churchy type of people are such hypocrites? I guess that discussion is for another thread.

Re: The Relationship Thread
Yeah, I believe there's a country song about that exact subject.
"The son of a preacher man"
I'm really glad she added man at the end of it for the listeners clarification.

Re: The Relationship Thread
I've been in a relationship for 7 months now. I could have never foreseen it coming, but it's been the happiest 7 months of my life. Naive? Possibly. Do I care? Nope.
Re: The Relationship Thread
I just celebrated one year with my girlfriend Saturday, hopefully with more (years) to come.
