Re: Favorite President of all time
Teddy Rosevelt. He overcame so much to acheive what he did and he said one of my favorite quotes "The minute you lose the right to criticize the goverment that's when you lose democracy".

Re: Favorite President of all time
oooh, so true! I don't know. I have this odd obsession with JFK...
I guess he's my favorite president, for no reason really... I just think it's interesting the way he was killed. ehh..

Re: Favorite President of all time
I've always really liked Abe Lincoln, he was the president in the most crucial time in American History, not only did he stabilize the union, but he ended slavery and kept the ideals of this country intact, we need another Abe Lincoln.

I always thought taft was pretty cool, sort of like the fat albert of politics. I know he's not a president, but ted kennedy is awesome.

Re: Favorite President of all time
Man, Kennedy could have achieved so much more, he screwed himself over with the Chappaquiddick incident.
Re: Favorite President of all time
In this order:
1. George Bush (I hate him, but he opened a lot of people's eyes because he sucks at lieing.)
2. Whoever was president when Pearl Harbor Happened. (He did a pretty good job at keeping the provocation a secret.)
3. Ronald Regan (Awesome name.)
4. George Washington (He was my first one, and therefore my favorite of the first 1.5 presidents.)
5. Richard Nixon (Another awesome name.)

Re: Favorite President of all time
So you like presidents based on names?
Interesting.
The worst president easily would be Wilson. I'm not sure about the others. Kenneddy is one of the greats though.

Re: Favorite President of all time
George Washington for me. He got this place going in the right direction.
You know, before corruption filled offices exponentially.
Kennedy was great too. He really seemed to reach out to the people, especially the younger citizens.

Re: Favorite President of all time
Kennedy accomplished more in two years than almost every other president we've had.

The worst president was Buchanan. Because of his failure to do anything to stop the Civil War, and the policies he did have in place worsened it.

Re: Favorite President of all time
I really don't have a favorite president, I've only been alive long enough to endure 3, and just barely since Obama hasn't even been in office for a year. I would choose Clinton, but I wasn't aware enough at that age to have an opinion. I don't really think I can choose someone who I wasn't in existence for, because I really don't think choosing one based off of interest is very fitting.
Re: Favorite President of all time
According to historians you can't really evaluate a president's legacy until 50 years after they've left office. And I'm inclined to believe them. A couple months ago for some reason I was really into researching all of the presidents, it's kind of intresting what you find out. Especially about the presidents that never get mentioned like James K. Polk who really did a lot for the expansion of the nation. Oh and Andrew Jackson was a terrible preisdent.

Re: Favorite President of all time
Though you can say that for their complete legacy, that doesn't stop me from liking Bill Clinton. That balanced budget sure would be a nice thing to have now
