SATs
Ok so the SATs are uber stressful. I recently got my scores back...and an 1810...I mean sure it is an advanced score, but I can do so much better. The only problem is that the SATs are a little hard to actually study for. I mean that was my first attempt at taking the SATs, and I never took the PSATs, so I guess it is a decent score.
But for me the SATs were a very stressful time. I am not sure if anyone else has had the pleasure of experiencing them yet....but if so...any tips for studying perhaps? Or how you feel about them.

Re: SATs
Well, ACTS are on the horizon for me, not something I'm really looking forward too at all, but how was the test itself, did it go over everything? or was it completely random?
Re: SATs
I just took my ACT. I only got a 27. I was pretty upset, I wanted at least a 30, lol.
So I'll be retaking that next year, haha.

Re: SATs
I don't really understand the point systems with the ACTs and the SATs, could someone explain that please?
Re: SATs
Nope.
No one understands it.
The test makers can't even explain it.
haha, it's all messed up, seriously. ACT is on a score from like 1-36 and SAT is up to some number over 2000, lol.
But the PLAN (Practice ACT) goes to like 32.
I love the department of Education (or whomever is responsible for this madness)

Re: SATs
I scored in the 50th percentile among the juniors when I was a sophomore, I plan on getting 10th percentile next year now that I've had more schooling.

Re: SATs
Well I am not going to take the ACTs...but the SAT reasoning test (the one that is required by most colleges) is composed of three sections....each section is out of a possible 800, which means a perfect score would be 2400. You really cannot study for the SATs though. You can guess-timate about what will be on it. As far as the math section goes.....it is early algebra and geometry for the most part..but random questions. And the reading section uses words that no one in reality would eve use, they are some challenging words, and context clues is not always helpful nor given. The test just sucks.
Re: SATs
well, back in the day when the SAT's were scored on a scale up to only about 1800, I got a 1450. Geez I feel old.
