Have you ever moved?
I've never moved before in my life and I've pretty much grown up in the same house forever. Well when my Mom moves back to Oregon I'm going with her and my step dad. My Dad will stay here. We'll be moving to Grants Pass Oregon. The change I don't think will be rough considering the fact I hate where I live and none of my friends really expressed they'd miss me or anything but it'll still be an adjustment.
Any way, have any of you ever moved? Was it rough?

Re: Have you ever moved?
I moved once. I hated and loved it. When I was 5 my family moved. No clue why. But we moved about 3 hours away from our home town. And now I have been living where I am for 8 years. I don't remember a lot of our move. Just little stuff like eating on the kitchen floor because our table was packed. And climbing in all the big boxes... I broke one that we needed... And I remember looking through the house we have now. We kept going in circles around the house because there are two staircases to the downstairs. But that is pretty much it.

Sounds a bit like my moving experience.
I moved when I was around 4, 5, or 6, and it was only about half way across town. I loved our "new" house; mainly because it had a fire place.[Pyro kid] I also like this neighborhood because the street never gets any traffic, it's nice and shady, and there's a lot of other kids here, too.
As like dolphin's house, ours also had 2 stair-cases going to the same level.
You'd come in, and about 3 feet to your left was a 4-stair staircase leading up onto the main level into the living room. Keep going forward, and there's another 4-stair staircase about 3 feet to your left, leading up onto the main level into the kitchen.
It's a pretty neat house, but I want to move...Preferably to the house across from ours or the one down the street.
Re: Have you ever moved?
I moved when I was 10 or so. We moved to a new town, so it meant a change in schools.
I hated the idea at first, and pleaded with my parents not to move, but it turns out it was probably one of the best things that ever happened to me. I got away from the people who placated me and pretended to be my friend, and met some people at my new school who have remained my friends from that point on. There were of course some people I didn't like, but it was much better than my previous school.
I'd say if I was still a part of that old town, and my old school, I'd be a much different person, and probably worse off.

Re: Have you ever moved?
I moved five times in my life, I've lived in three different towns, and in two states. first i lived in kansas. now new mexico. i actually moved to new mexico really recently, like a month ago. It was really tough 'cause my dad stayed behind. just me, one of my brothers (i have four, no sisters), and my mom. then, withing the first two weeks, my brother decided he wanted to go back cause he missed his gf, and drained us of all of our money. moving is hard, but sometimes its good, because its a chance to start with a fresh slate, and no one nows about the bad stuff u did. lol

Re: Have you ever moved?
We moved about 7 years ago. I was kind of young and I don't remember much other than what my sister and my room looked like, and a few miscellaneous events. Oddly enough, I could probably still find my way around the house blindfolded. We moved 12 hours away from the city, to a town a little less than 30,000. But I'm glad we moved; I probably would have never joined either orchestra or band if we still lived there. We really did move because my dad didn't like the city, and he was unhappy with his job.

Re: Have you ever moved?
About two years ago I moved from Hutchinson, KS to Phoenix, AZ and the toughest thing was probly going from a small town at a small Christian highschool of 40 people to a big town and a highschool of 1500.

Not really, I mean I don't want to be living in this house when I'm 25 but for right now it's fine.

we moved twice when I was a baby so I don't remember it
it would really suck to move because I would miss friends, but I really wish something would change

My family moved from the bad side out town to the good side when I was about 2, but other than that, I've lived in this same house since then.
