Our school's lunches are actually not all that bad.

We have a variety, and our pizza is pretty decent. Smile

Our school has decent lunches. The only thing I cannot stand is the pizza, and they make it like 5 times a month. Whenever I find out we're having pizza at lunch, it ruins my day.

I bring my own food.

School food is kinda decent though. You see, I'm the guy who's pointing out politely "If you happen to finish with that anytime soon, eh...*smiles*"

There's just a ritualistic way to eat it.

Pizza (that we have every day) - place napkin over top and soak up excess grease.

Grilled Cheese Uncrustable - make a small hole, turn upside down, let drain. Consume.

French Toast Sticks - if hard, smash against the table with brute force...see what shatters first.

Misc - poke it and make sure it is no longer alive. Let the brave one try it first. After smelling and poking, decide whether or not to risk it, lolz.

Haha, you have a system!

I do not touch school grilled cheeses though...always uberously greasy Smile

I am usually a turkey sub (no cheese) on wheat bread with mayo, pepper, pickles, and tomatoes (sometimes jalapenos)

mmmm....a lot better for you than most stuff there Smile

School Lunches Empty Re: School Lunches

Post by macncheese101 Sun Jul 27, 2008 1:46 am

Our school lunches were leftovers from what they fed prison inmates, which made sense considering our school was designed by a guy who designs prisons.

I had too many bad experiences from our school food to even call it food. There was burning my throat with mashed potatoes, getting lunch detention for allegedly "stealing" a roll, food poisoning, overcooked mystery meat, limp lettuce, soggy and slimy tomatoes, frozen artificial eggs, the list goes on and on and on.....

Thank goodness senior year I didn't have to go to lunch at school. Went there at 9 left at 11:50....perfect schedule...
