Growing Apart.
Cliché, but it happens.
Has this ever happened to you and your significant other [or former significant other]?

Re: Growing Apart.
Yes, my last relationship in fact. Sometimes it just happens, and ultimately we as people change and start looking at things differently, including our relationships with people.
Re: Growing Apart.
This happened too.
Two years ago I was a pretty smart kid, but pretty content with things. I was a gamer. Very much so. Like 14 hours a day. I really had no aspirations of personal growth, just ascension into social status (It's an interesting thing. I wanted to become more, but in the way that society wanted me to grow.)
And over the past six months or so, I've rejected almost all of that.
I became vegan. I became philosophic. The kid who couldn't stand the outdoors now eats his breakfast cereal (with coconut or hemp milk) sitting on the front lawn. No, not on the front steps. Not the sidewalk. On the grass, with NO manmade constructs in sight. Just forest.
For lunch at work, I like to go by the river, sit out on rocks (no, not tables or benches, but the rocks. Last time I sat by this HUGE bee hive, but I wasn't going to bother them, and they weren't going to bother me. Peaceful coexistence win.) Again, nothing manmade in sight. It's beautiful and enlightening.
Anddd, Bre thought I was "going too far." She said I was "getting hippy-ish or whatever" She couldn't deal with my advocacy for animal rights, and she didn't want to grow with me, so we grew apart. Conversations became dull, and I already couldn't trust her for cheating on me.
I was more proud (and am more proud) than I've ever been. I've reached the goals I set for myself years ago, and finished yearssss ahead of the time I had set.
She didn't even see my accomplishments as "accomplishments."
It was a mess.
Again, I guess it looks like I need someone at my level (which at least I'm convinced is moderately superior to "normalcy") or I need exile xD

Re: Growing Apart.
Respect for yourself and your own goals should always be prioritized if you have them. It may sound selfish to some, but you should always come first because when you jeopardize that you start making decisions that are detrimental to your livelihood. Not to mention that if the person you're with can't accept that and grow with you, then you're in the wrong relationship.

Re: Growing Apart.
Thanks, guys.
And I haven't tried it yet, but from what I imagine, it's amazing. Hemp milk ice cream sure is. It's hella expensive, though. I spent almost five bucks on about a fourth of a gallon xD Coconut milk is about half as expensive, but hemp milk is WAY healthier.

And Jake, thanks a ton, it's nice to know that what I'm doing is the right thing.
Connor, you've always been awesome to me
But here I go, getting us all off topic again.
Any other experiences out there? Or any more comments on mine?
