U.S.M.C.
I want to know why all the other military branches and people in general talk down on the Marine Corp. They does and always will do more then any other military branch has.

Re: U.S.M.C.
I think some of the flack probably comes from the fact that they aren't considered one of the main military operatives, but there are plenty of them deployed overseas.
It's probably a perception issue. I don't really have any first-hand experience talking to any Marines, though. I wonder if it's an internal issue, or if it's just how they're viewed in general.

Re: U.S.M.C.
Well see all the individuals i know are in the marine corps and ive found that it tends to be the opposite way around. i find that the marines talk down on the other military branches just for the soul fact that they do do more than any other branch. but those same marines that i know also say that they are thankful for them at times. for example a buddy of mine was pinned down in a firefight and was about to be overrun when an airstrike was called in and saved aall their asses which in turn would be the airforce

Re: U.S.M.C.
See marines are in alot of operations. Im going into the marines and like i have talked to friends in the army and going in the army and the talk massive shit on the marines, the army is babied i think. they are soft and dont have to do as tough as stuff as the marines. The marines turn you into a war machine and teach you how to survive and actually be a warrior. Hence the name "Devil Dogs".

Re: U.S.M.C.
you see i find that funny for the soul fact that the army doesnt have a clue to what the marine basic training is like there is a reason why it called "the few, the proud..." its because most people wouldnt be able to survive basic. especially not the crucible which is a 60 mile hike over a day period over rough terrain with about 3 hours of sleep a night and 1 meal a day
