Re: Academic Accomplishments
I've managed to get all the way up to my senior year in high school. I don't know how.

Re: Academic Accomplishments
I used to be apart of the Gifted program, but I felt like I never fit in and wasn't as smart as the other ones in there, so I got out of it. I didn't see what was so beneficial for me to be in it. They held quiz bowls, science contests and math contests.
The teachers always told me I wasn't gifted in that way and told me that I was gifted when it came to speaking or interacting with people or something. My confidence fell and I decided to leave. I didn't see what my purpose was in the program.
I guess it also kinda stems out of the fact that I was alone in the program for the first few years of my life. I was the only one in gifted at Buhler Grade School, and there were two others there in my time there. But the kids from Prosperity were mean, and pushed me away from them at gifted events and activities. I started to lack interest, feel less confident, and worthless> I felt like I didn't fit in and I felt less superior to the rest of them (though in reality I am) and it hurt.
Now of course that was a long time ago as I am now friends with most of the gifted Prosperity friends. Corey is my best friend, and Zach is really getting close to being my best friend too. I love Toni, as she is a good friend and really nice. Kirsten, Sara, Katie, and others are all really nice now too. But as I look back, my problems with the Gifted program and my eventual leaving probably all stem from those first few years in it.

Re: Academic Accomplishments
That's a darn shame, Mason. It sucks that it ends up being so exclusive. There are many areas where students are gifted, but it rarely ever applies to life skills or anything beyond academic value.
Re: Academic Accomplishments
