Harry Potter Half Blood Prince

I'm really hopeful about it, what is everybodys opinion on it?

It looks like the best Harry Potter movie yet.

I refuse to let my hopes get up about this movie. I've been disappointed by the last three movies by getting my hopes up, so I've leaving my expectations on a low level. I am hoping though, that I will be pleasantly surprised.

Just got back from it. Didn't really hold up to my expectations, but still a great film. Azkaban is still my favorite, but I'd place HBP right underneath it.

i hate living in a small town....it won't be here for like another month or so...grrrrrrr

It looks like the best one yet. But i still need to see it before i make my mind up. Though the Goblet Of Fire is my favorite Harry Potter film at the moment. "The Half Blood Prince certainly looks epic".

The only films in the series that were up to par with the books were the first and second movies directed by Columbus. Since he left, they've all been terrible. Yates did and awful job with Order of the Phoenix and I'm very skeptical about Half-Blood Prince. I'm hoping that it will at least be decent, and that I won't be pissed off when I walk out of the theater.

yeah they always leave good scenes out of the movies recently ,but the first two were in line with the book

I watched it last night, I must say it the plot played out as a tragedy towards its end. I would give it an 8, I may even like it more after reflection. or less, thats a possibility too. But one things for sure, this movie was much better than the last two.

I rank it just under the first two, which were the best out of all of them. There were many places where they took something out that just didn't feel right, and the added pasture scene at The Burrow was just stupid. It was also much better than anything proceeding the second film, and it followed the story (the parts that were included) fairly well. The actors overplayed their parts at time, exaggerating words and making them sound almost childish.

Well, I mean, they could have just done much more with the burrow scene, it felt anticlimactic with it's opening. I mean, c'mon, if you're going to add a battle make it an actual battle. Bellatrix and fenrir stood there for five minutes before just leaving pointlessly.
