I'm Sorry
I don't get it. People say "I'm sorry" when they have nothing to do with it!
"Oh, my dog just got impaled by a bird."
'I'm sorry...'
"Was it your bird?"
'No, I'm just sorry...'
"...Okay..."
Is it just instinct or something?

Re: I'm Sorry
I have a problem of apologizing haha. It's something that gets on people's nerves when I do it so I need to work on not doing it hehe

Re: I'm Sorry
I apologize a lot to....I guess I do not technically apologize consideirng I have nothing to be sorry for, it just seem slike a phrase that helps in challenging times. I am usually the person who cheers people up though...with my funtastical humor
Re: I'm Sorry
I think it's more of an "It sucks to be you, so I pity you and feel sorry for you" kind of term in that sense.
I am filled with sorrow in the event of your misfortune
aka: I'm sorry!

There you go, right on the money.
Re: I'm Sorry
I don't think of it that way..I think if I say sorry people will calm down and not be so mad but they usually get to the point WHERE THEY ARE VOMITING WITH RAGE when I say it.

Re: I'm Sorry
Make 'em laugh!!! That's right!!! When a guy/girl treats you wrong, your best friends will always be there to point out the possibility of him/her getting hit by a train....
Sigh...
If only....

Re: I'm Sorry
Yea, I am that person completely.
Except I am crazy enough to have "things" arranged.

Re: I'm Sorry
I'm always up for hugs, haha. That's usually my best 'I'm sorry' unless I'm going Atticus style and I say "It's not time to worry yet."
And yes, I have a dark mind, so my mind is generally working in a very morbid and atrocious kind of way.
usually if someones upset enough, I'll give em a mini-speech (I'm pretty damn good at those), pick out some music for them to listen to, add in some *hugs*, and be there to make 'em laugh it off later.
I have a system, haha. I'm usually the go-to guy, and I've grown accustomed to it. Sure, most people complain about having enough problems of their own, and don't want to get dragged into other people's business, but my friends are sooo rad. When they're upset, that becomes my problem.
If you ever feel down, lemme know and we'll chat it up
You'll be giggling in no time.
What does this have to do with meaningless and sarcastic "I'm sorry"s? Nothing. Oh wellz. Usually I say "I'm sorry" or [my favorite] "I'm so very terribly sorry", generally in a slightly sophisticated accent.

Re: I'm Sorry
Haha
you have to have the accent....it just lends itself to that sort of situation.
nice system
Although I am never really upset or emotionally distraught....I will be sure to give you a hollllaaa....If I need some cheering up
But I am a cheery person, so I doubt that will ever be necessary....unless I get rejected by colleges.....

Re: I'm Sorry
that would be a cool costume
I would take out the candy hander-outers...and snatch the candy
Of course that may be diffcult with a plastic gun...that is why you take and acid resistant water pistol, and fill it with acid

Re: I'm Sorry
ew imagine getting squirt with pickle juice
I think you are right with the pickle juice!
Then I would have to use a sarcastic "I'm sorry"
I bet they would hate that
back on topic FTW!

Re: I'm Sorry
Can I ask the dumb question of the day?? I promise to say "I'm sorry" after it.
This is hard.
But.
What does FTW mean??
I'm sorry. I just never knew.
*sobs*
I'M A FAILURE AS A PARENT DUE TO THE FACT THAT I DON'T HAVE CHILDREN!!!!!
*runs away in shame*

Re: I'm Sorry
Haha I seriously did not know what iit meant until a couple of weeks ago.
It is silly, but it emphasizes a point I guess.
